about the project
"Lights on the way" is a project dedicated to helping bereaved families. After a shocking loss, a long and complex journey begins - the afterlife. The road is not easy, and sometimes it is difficult to find connection and meaning to life and routine.
Our mission is to provide family members with opportunities to find passion, connection to life and purpose through learning and development. We understand that people dealing with such a profound loss tend to regroup and have a harder time getting back to participating in life. The light can dim, and our goal is to rekindle it, turning on lights along the way.
The association was established in memory of Eitan Naa the 4th, a reserve fighter in the Dovdvan unit who fell on 17.12.23 in Khan Yunis, while fighting for the homeland.
Before enlisting, Eitan wrote "My goal is concern for the people of Israel, wherever I end up and I have to contribute I will try to give my all."
Eitan gave light, inspiration and strength to everyone he met, and we try to continue in his path, and try to give light to others. in his memory

I'm Ayala Kitzis, product manager and social entrepreneur. I founded the association "Lights on the Way" in memory of Eitan, I was privileged to be his partner during a significant period in my life and to receive his light and goodness.
I strongly believe in connecting to life through action, growth and development. I know the experience of losing passion and connection to life, and I know how difficult it is to continue on the path. I took it upon myself to do what I could to help others, who are now going through an unimaginable journey of pain and loss. I am here to talk about life, about how to rediscover the connection to it and the strength and desire to go out and continue on the path. And I'm here to help as much as I can.
In the Orot Berbeh association, I have created collaborations and connections with amazing organizations, which offer courses, workshops and training in a variety of fields, both professional and philanthropic, which have connected to the cause, and are ready to offer pre-assigned places with full or partial funding for the family members. The association accompanies the participants during the course, and ensures assistance in learning and completing the required assignments. The association produces content, events and lectures in a variety of fields, with the aim of helping as many family members as possible find areas of interest and passion that will help and serve as small lights along the way.
